DESCRIPTION:
PSCI is seeking dependable and professional Telephone Operator I — Night Shift candidates to support anticipated 24/7/365 telephone services at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Night-shift operators are an essential part of continuous VA communications operations and must be capable of working independently, following emergency procedures, and maintaining excellent judgment and customer service during overnight operations. Employment is contingent upon PSCI receiving contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain continuous professional telephone coverage during assigned overnight hours.
- Answer and properly route calls to appropriate VA personnel or services.
- Follow established procedures for urgent, emergency, and after-hours communications.
- Accurately document or relay information as required.
- Maintain familiarity with organizational contacts, telephone procedures, and escalation requirements.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Maintain readiness for unexpected operational events and staffing contingencies.
- Participate in training, cross-training, quality-control activities, and recurring proficiency requirements.
- Provide qualified coverage when operationally necessary and directed by the PM/Supervisor.
Location: Kansas City VA Medical Center — Kansas City, Missouri
Shift: Night Shift – 12am to 8am; Full Time (40 Hours a Week)
Pay Rate: $17.89/Hr. plus Health and Welfare
- Worker will work on-site Full Time
- No Clearance.
- Must be US Citizen.
- Status: CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.
MANDATORY:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong telephone communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to remain attentive and professional throughout an overnight shift.
- Ability to follow procedures and exercise sound judgment during emergency or unusual situations.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned night/weekend schedule.
- Ability to successfully complete required Government background, suitability, training, and onboarding requirements.
Important: This position is contingent upon contract award to PSCI and final Government approval/start authorization.
