23117-1 Technician Field Level 2, Huntsville, AL (Secret/Ability to Obtain)

DESCRIPTION:
  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
  • Technician responsibilities will be maintaining/troubleshooting wheeled and track vehicles, such as M270, M270A1, and HIMARS vehicles.
  • Working on Military vehicles, MLRS, Bradley, M1A1, HUMVEE, HEMITT, etc. Bulldozers, front end loaders,
  • Render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems.
  • Provide an analysis of maintenance program and recommendations that may be beneficial.

Will need to get the following license and physicals after hired on.
  1. Need Forklift Physical.
  2. Need Government climatic physical.
  3. Need Lockheed Martin Spirometer Physical.
  4. Need DOT physical.

Job Details:
  • Must be US Citizen.
  • Active Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain.
  • 4/10 Work Week.
  • 1st Shift.
  • $35.10/hr..
  • Duration: 11/30/2026-11/26/2027.
  • Non-Exempt.
  • Contract Position.
  • Worker will work Onsite Full Time.
 
MANDATORY:
  • High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned preventive and demand maintenance tasks and 1 Year of experience.
  • Familiar with gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Troubleshooting skills on vehicles.
 
DESIRED:
  • Familiar with Redstone Arsenal, AL operations.
  • Familiar with engine and diesel engines.
